NICOLE CP4 - Aziz
Last Wednesday I also met up with my third conversation partner Aziz.Aziz and I met in teh Union after I finsished class at 5, then we went to have tea time. We walked over to the Sweet Shoppe on West Jefferson St. (one of my favorite places to study and grab coffee) On the walk over I learned a lot about Aziz, his english language skills areextremely proffiecient, he has been in the United states for about 8 months. Upon walking in there were a lot of people Aziz knew in the coffee shoppe, many of them being CIES teachers and students. The shop is owned by an Arab making it a hot hangout spot for many Arabic speakers. We grabbed a rose tea and a smoothie, then took a seat outside as it was beautiful outside. We chatted about our favorite foods, the most popular in Kuwait and America, the kinds of foods we liked to eat, and where to find Muslim observant meats in Tallahassee. Next, we moved on to talk about our future plans. Aziz will be attending school to become a petroleum engineer. I was extremely impressed and proceeded to ask him why, he informed me that he did well on his test for the subject but really dreamed of another career, he had always wanted to be a dentist but was one point off from being accepted into a program created by his governments standards. Aziz comes from a family of engineers, he has been accepted at a school in Missouri and West Virginia. He hopes to attend Louisiana State University. I told him I would get information on all the schools, at our next meeting we could learn more about each option and write a pro and con list.

The pros and cons list for schools is a good idea! I imagine he will be really engaged in the conversation next week since he is very interested in the subject.
