Nicole TP7 - (child)

On Sunday I met with Jefferey and both of his parents at the Leon County Library. Whay are such nice people and love to have their son learning. They placed him in my care and we were off. I asked Jefferey about his weekend, and he informed me that his family went to Destin. I figured this would be a great transition into some vocabulary words since his parents primarily speak Korean. We talked baout sand, teh ocean, all kinds of sea creatures, sand castles, shells, and plastic shovels. This was a great way to start off as I had him explain to me the items he liked best i would type teh word in google, we looked at pictures, and discussed the meaning of the word. After we had teh concept of the word secured I had Jefferey write the word six times and form a simple sentence. For the next lesson I promised to find him a fun book about the beach for us to read.

Jefferey is so lively and sweet I absolutely love tutoring him. Next we worked on his list of words from school, we played the hangman game again with five of them. Once we played the hangman game we played a game of matching. Jefferey and I talked about how words had opposites, including the ones that we had just gone over.  I then layed out a map of these  words and we playd the matching game. He did a fantastic job and our time seemed to fly by.
