NICOLE CP3 - Lin Xi

   Last week was so busy and I felt like I never got a chance to stop and blog about my two new conversation partners. On Wednesday I had the oppurtinity to fit in a meeting with Lin Xi. I figured we could meet at the student union for Market Wednesady, a weekly trading post for students and vendors. We took a look around the shopping booths, watched some Halloween festivities and grabbed lunch while on her break. We met around noon and looked around the shops for halloween outfits, tried on some sunglassses, and got to know each other. This was a fun activity because Lin Xi was able to practice some business transaction conversation, as well as learn some new vocabulary about shopping, buying, and Halloween. After  bit of moseying we wet inside the union to eat. I met some of the other  CIES students that were good friends with Lin Xi, we sat down and ate with them. Lin Xi had a delicious lunch her roomate had packed her, we planned to go to the grocery store and cook dinner sometime as one of our meeting. I'm looking forward to this as I LOVE chinese food. Upon finishing our meal I took Lin Xi over to the booth I was working in the International Studies fair. I showed her where in Turkey I visited. I introduced her to a few people, we then wondered over to the China board, she showed me where she was from, and then we went our seperate ways.  It was a fun outing and I loved having partner of a different cultural background!
