Yesterday evening,
Neto and I went to Hiro’s Frozen Yogurt.
He had never been to a froyo place before, so I had to explain how it works.
He paid for my yogurt, which is so
nice. He had trouble understanding the
cashier at first, but I helped him out. We chatted and caught up while eating
frozen yogurt. We talked about
Halloween, the football game, and classes. Then he brought along an interview
sheet with a bunch of questions on it.
One of the assignments for one of his classes was to interview his
conversation partner this week and then give a presentation on it next week. He recorded our interview. He asked for my first, middle, and last name
as well as other basic questions about my hobbies, hometown, where I live on
campus, my major, etc. He usually needs
me to speak in a slow to moderate pace.
He asked me to look over the things he wrote down, and I had to clarify
for some things. Overall he does a good
job with listening and understanding. We
walked back toward campus together before parting ways and planned to meet
again next Monday.
