During a Skype conversation, Eric laid out his plans and
preparation for his long trip home. His
family has asked him to bring electronics – cell phones, e-readers, and
tablets. Of course, I am happy to help
him find some. He is taking the bus to
Jacksonville, where a friend from home will pick him up and take him to the
airport the following day. The flight
and layover time is twenty-four hours. He
has his laptop and can Skype to his family along the way, and he also has,
“Word Power Made Easy”, a book I gave him and a favorite of mine. He has analytical mind and is impressed by
the format of the book which teaches prefix/suffix and root words in order to
learn and infer meanings. I think that I
am as excited to meet his wife as he is to bring her back.
