Paul TP P.J. #9

In our last tutoring session, P.J. and I finished up the Pocahontas story right at the beginning. P.J. and I were both interested in what would happen at the end since we only had a couple pages left from the previous session. P.J. mentioned that the book is not the same as the movie. He said she even looks different! And he was right. We went over the phrase "give you my word" and the phrase "he broke his word." He understands that it is another way to promise something to someone.
We went over more word problems in math. He has gotten much better at finding out if he needs to add or subtract. He has gotten much better, but there are still some problems that confuse him. Hopefully this winter break I can help him power through those difficulties!
