Paul - C.O. #2

My second class observation was also with Leslie Wagner. This class was a group 1 grammar class on the Monday of Thanksgiving week . She started off the class with reviewing capitalization rules. She asked students to call out a couple rules until they were all up on the board. Then, she used the projector to put a story onto the wall. It was full of capitalization errors. She had each student read a sentence from the story and then say which words needed to be capitalized and why. After she went over this, she had a speaking quiz on the simple future tense. The quizzes were one-by-one. While she called them to her corner for the quiz, the other students were assigned to work together on creating a story. She had them include a date, a country/state, their names, and a holiday. She let me answer any questions any of the three groups had while writing their stories since she was giving the quizzes!
After that, she collected the stories from the groups for her to look over.
