Paul TP P.J. #7

P.J. and I jumped right into the math problems in our session! We stumbled across a very similar one to the flower problem we had a couple sessions before. When he saw it, he smiled and said he had done it before. I told him that he should be able to solve it then, and he took the challenge! He got it right! I flipped back to show him that they were similar questions, but also different. I'm glad he got it right... It's showing that he is definitely improving. Also, with other word problems, he is understanding the importance of some key words like "more" "bought" "gave" and "left." He is definitely improving!
We started reading Pocahontas as well as a school reading assignment, but since we had spent a little too much time on the costume/disguise reading, we only got a couple pages into Pocahontas. "Disguise," one of P.J.'s vocabulary words, was hard for him to pronounce his first time. But after I corrected him once, he pronounced it correctly every time after that!
