Nicole CO3 - (Reading)

    My last CIES course to observe was a reading class taught by Ryan Flemming. Mr. Flemmig began by reviewing the activities from previous day, and then went on to explain the plan for the current lesson. Mr. Flemming went through the vocabulary in the book they are reading in class. The class is in the process of reading Matilda by Roald Dahl, they read two chapters along with the audio recording. Before, between,and after the chapters each table split up to disscuss what was going on. After this the professor went on to discuss some of the idioms found in teh book, such as "out cold." Once these things were accomplished he went on to handback yesterdays vocabulary and comprehension reading quiz. He went over the most commonly missed questions, and allowed the students to ask questions. Mr. Flemming wrapped the class up with a student survey about their plans after college.
